Used Hospital Stretchers and Gurneys
Hospital Direct Medical Equipment Inc. also sells a large number of used and
refurbished medical gurneys, stretchers, trolleys and transport medical equipment.
We sell over 2,500 hospital stretchers per year to hospitals, surgery centers,
emergency room departments, radiology and medical equipment companies
and dealers all over the world.
Hospital stretchers are sold in several price categories including:
(1) “Used as is” stretchers – these are sold just as they come from the hospital
with the buyer buying them and cleaning and repairing anything on their end.
(2) Refurbished stretchers – gurneys – cleaned, tested and ready for service with
minor scratches and normal wear. We do touch up painting on these units
and also detail them to be look good just like they would in a hospital setting.
(3) Reconditioned stretchers – re manufactured stretcher gurneys in “new condition”.
These are a great saving to hospitals to buy stretchers that look new for
50% or more off of retail pricing.
(1) Used “as is” stretcher gurneys are sold in good working order direct to
customer in the same shape we get them from hospital. Stretchers will
normally need cleaning and painting and minor work done to be
sent back into service and the broker – dealer – medical company understands
that and buys these stretchers and does that work themselves.
(2) Refurbished gurney stretchers are cleaned, tested and touch up painted
to look and work well and be put back into service at a lower price than
buying new or reconditioned.
(3) Reconditioned stretcher gurneys are stripped down to the frame and
painted and then rebuilt with new paint, stickers and cables. All work
or broken parts are replaced and these look new and also come with
a 1 year warranty.

Used Stretcher Gurney Prices
Common stretchers and older stretchers will normally cost $350 – $450
in “as is” condition for orders of at least 10 or more stretchers. This
includes Hill Rom Transtar stretchers, Stryker Renaissance 700 series
and 1500 series stretchers and most Steris Hausted and Midmark stretcher
models.
“M” Series and big wheel stretchers vary in price depending on the
number of stretchers and gurneys ordered eye stretchers, OB-GYN
stretchers and newer models like Stryker Prime Series will cost more
depending on the model.
